The AGM will now take place on Tuesday 6th November at Crofton Baptist Church, Crofton Lane, Orpington, BR5 1HD. This is where we had the Jim Vivian-Griffiths talk last March.

This location is served by bus routes: 208, R3, R11 and 476 and is a 10 minute walk from Petts Wood BR station.

There is a car park alongside the church which can accommodate 20 or so cars provided that you park with the boot/bonnet pointing at the church building/wooden fence. Please do not park your car lengthwise  to the church/fence as this reduces the number of cars that can get in. Entry to the premises is via the car park on the right hand side of the church and through doors in the glass structure at the back of the car park.

There is a second car park on the other side of church building and I will ensure that one of the single doors is open so you can come into the building from there.  You can also park in the surrounding roads: Crofton Lane, Place Farm Avenue, Broadcroft Road.

The meeting hall will be open from 7pm when tea and coffee will be served.  The AGM will begin promptly at 7.30pm and will be followed by a bring and share supper.  Please think about what you can bring along and let me know.  If you email to all [at] orpbees [dot] co [dot] uk then we will all know what has been offered and can choose to do something different.

You will find the minutes from last years’ AGM attached to this email.  Under the item, Election of officers, there is a list of those beekeepers who make up the committee for the Orpington Branch.  Kit Erhardt is stepping down from his current role of Vice Chairman but will remain on the committee.  We will be looking to appoint a new VC. All other officers are willing to stand again in the same positions,  however, anyone wishing to put themselves forward for any of the committee positions should get in touch with Helen before the AGM.  It is not a closed shop and we welcome new people to take a role.

Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday 6th November.

Helen – Secretary
